Meadows Mitts

These simple but stylish mitts are quick to knit and comfortable to wear! I designed these as a birthday present for my mom, but I am thinking I may have to make myself a pair because I love them so much. 

Materials:
Roughly 100 yds 10 ply worsted weight yarn (I used Berroco Vintage)
4 US size 6 dpns

Stitch Guide:
Double Moss/Seed stitch:
Row 1: *k1, p1* rep from *
Row 2: *k the k sts, p the p sts* rep from*
Row 3:*p the k sts, k the p sts* rep from*
Row 4: *p the p sts, k the k sts* rep from*

Pattern:
CO 27 sts using long-tail method
Divide between 3 needles
Join in round 
K 1 row
Work in Double Seed (also known as double moss) stitch for 4 rows
K 3 rows

K2, kfb, pm, k to last st, kfb
K 1 row

Repeat bold until there are 9 stitches in front of the marker. (On the repeats, do not place a marker, just slip it.)
K until 2 last sts
BO last 2 sts and all sts before marker.
CO 3 sts
K for 1.5 inches (about 3.8 cm), or desired length. (Remember, you will still have a double seed/moss stitch border)
Work double seed/moss stitch for 4 rows
